The 29th National Photography Art Exhibition (National Exhibition) opened in Xiamen, East China's Fujian Province, on Saturday.
Since the opening of the submission period in February, the National Exhibition has drawn extensive participation from photographers across the country, receiving 94,476 valid entries. A total of 295 outstanding works will be exhibited.
Li Ge, chairman of the China Photographers Association, said, "We are delighted to see that the majority of photographers observed the simple and real human activities and people's lives. In terms of artistic expression, they have inherited traditional cultural aesthetics, and have striven to explore contemporary visual expression."
Held at the Exhibition Hall of Jimei New City Civic Square in Xiamen, this is the largest National Exhibition ever held.
