The 10th Guardian Fine Art Asia (GFAA) opened in Beijing on Tuesday with a focus on antiques, classic art, design and lifestyle aesthetics.
In 2023, international exhibitors from six countries returned to GFAA, greatly enriching the selection of international exhibits.
London's top gallery David Aaron, focusing on ancient Greek, Roman and Persian art, has brought rare artworks such as Roman sculptures and Sasanian glassware. The Imperial Art and Leprince galleries from France are presenting 18th-19th century French academic paintings, sculptures and 19th century Sèvres porcelain.
Hagemann Art Gallery from Germany and Infinity Space are jointly displaying the 19th century German and French etchings and royal silverware. New York Freeman's, a veteran Manhattan gallery, interprets the 20th century art classics with works by Salvador Dali and other media.
Boguan Art's Heavenly Craftsmanship - Contemporary Chinese Jade Carving Art Exhibition has invited the most representative and influential masters and institutions in the field of contemporary jade carving in China, gathering nearly 100 jade carvings and jewelry treasures.
Looking at the exhibitors of the previous two GFAA editions, nearly one-fifth of the organizers were born in the 1980s and 1990s, adding youthful vitality to antique and classic art.
