The Amazing Women art exhibition recently invited dozens of ambassadors and senior diplomats from countries including Ireland and Serbia, along with several female artist representatives, to celebrate the 114th International Women's Day.

Ambassador of Ireland to China, Ann Derwin, remarked in the speech on March 6 that creativity serves as the most direct means of cultural exchange, playing a significant role in fostering cooperation and prosperity across various sectors of society. She expressed hope that through artistic exchange and collaboration, civilization could be promoted comprehensively across different fields.

Following their visit, diplomats from various countries expressed their appreciation for the exhibition's theme and the spirit it conveyed, particularly resonating with the International Women's Day on March 8.

The exhibition showcased nearly a hundred pieces made by 39 female artists from diverse backgrounds and eras. Through various art forms such as oil painting, traditional Chinese painting, sculpture, and new media, the artists presented both the inheritance and innovation of female artists born between 1950 and 2000.

Li Li, director general of the Beijing Service Bureau for Diplomatic Missions extended festive greetings and wishes to the women present at the event. He emphasized the unique and critical role of cultural and artistic diplomacy in modern diplomatic activities.

He noted that female Chinese artists are not only creators of beauty but also promoters of friendship and cooperation between China and other countries. The bureau aims to provide a broad platform for the exchange between female artists and the world.

This year, with the United Nations choosing "Invest in women: Accelerate progress" as the theme for global gender equality achievement celebrations, activities and discussions worldwide have begun to focus more deeply on the role of women in art and social empowerment.

Lasting until March 31, the Amazing Women exhibition and art forum was held at the Phoenix Center in Beijing on International Women's Day. The event brought together outstanding female representatives from the art and academic fields to discuss the role of women in art and society, the challenges they face, and future development opportunities.
