The New World Press (NWP) has hosted the book launch event for the latest additions to its "Foreigners Tell Chinese Stories" series - "Home is Where My Heart is" (English version) and "La Distancia No Crea Barreras" (Spanish version) at the 36th Beijing Book Fair on Thursday.

These two inaugural books draw inspiration from the "Our Life in China" column, planned by the American Communication Center of the China International Communications Group (CICG).

Featuring selected foreigners in China with representative stories, the two books narrate their life experiences and connections with China, offering an authentic contemporary portrayal of the country from their perspectives.

Li Yafang, Director of the American Communication Center of the CICG, highlighted in her address that the planning and production of the "Foreigners Tell Chinese Stories" series spanned five years. The publication of these books aims to render these Chinese stories more genuine, dimensional, and comprehensive.

Li also expressed the commitment of the American Communication Center of the CIGG, in collaboration with NWP, to enhance the influence and impact of Chinese civilization's dissemination, by precisely conveying touching stories about China.

According to Li Chunkai, President of NWP, the "Foreigners Tell Chinese Stories" series is a crucial product line in both thematic and foreign publishing sections. It includes books such as "I Love Chinese Cuisine, which introduced Chinese gastronomy and culture through the eyes of a Russian journalist in both Chinese and Russian editions.

Last year, after the release of the Russian edition of "I Love Chinese Cuisine" in the Russian region, it garnered attention from local media. Several Russian media outlets, including the TASS news agency, covered the release. The book has played a positive role in promoting Chinese culinary and traditional culture in Russia, Li Chunkai noted.
