Reading ‘Jane Eyre’ gives me courage to overcome setbacks

I like reading. I read books about literature and history. I read every evening after I finish my homework. My parents also accompany me in reading. So I have read many books such as Charlotte's Web, The Blue Bird, The Old Man And The Sea and so on. Out of all of them, Jane Eyre impressed me the most.

I want to give a summary of the story before I write in detail about it. Jane Eyre was a novel written by Charlotte Brontë. The book was created under her pen name "Currer Bell." To sum up, the story depicts an image of a brave girl. She has a really terrible childhood from infancy to adolescence. At that time, she had no relatives and her life was extremely poor.

Jane, whose parents both died, was a girl from a humble background, and her childhood memories were not good. After suffering abuse at her late uncle's house, Jane went to Lowood Caring School. Here Jane's life was still painful and dark, but she harvested friendship, knowledge and discipline. She also saw death and fear. So she wanted to find a job. After a setback, Jane found a third habitat - Thornfield Hall. It was also the first time she really found the safe haven of a shady classroom, because the owner of this mansion, Edward, made her feel like home. However, the good times did not last long. Because of a change, Jane gave up this life and went into the storm. But this time, she also took away independence and strength and perseverance. At the end of the story, Jane followed her heart and returned to Edward.

Although Jane does not look surprising and is very small, she has an unusual momentum that makes her shine. She once said, "When we are beaten for no reason, we should go back hard, this is her desire for independence and freedom."

This spirit is what has allowed this book to endure.

When I read the last page and closed the book in peace, I couldn't make my heart feel the same. For a petal that goes backward in a storm; For a dove in the shade...Life will always encounter a variety of difficulties. Some people are decadent and never recover after a fall. Some people go with the flow and never do anything. But Jane is not afraid of difficulties, not afraid of the dark, and has strong perseverance and courage to overcome difficulties, and pursue her own independence and freedom. I like reading, and I like the spirit of Jane.
