An exhibition focusing on cultural exchanges between China and Nepal will kick off at the Miaoying Temple, also known as the White Stupa Temple, in Beijing on December 22.

The temple, which was built in 1271, stands as a significant historical relic, a testament to the profound history of friendly interactions between China and Nepal.

Designed over eight years by Nepalese artisan Araniko, the White Stupa Temple has played a crucial role in fostering the enduring friendship between the two countries.

Leveraging the historical connection between the White Stupa Temple and Araniko as a bridge in Sino-Nepalese friendship, the exhibition, titled Friendship Across the Himalayas - as Nepal borders Southwest China's Xizang Tibetan Autonomous Region - will showcase Nepalese cultural traditions, the 1,600-year history of cultural exchanges between China and Nepal, as well as the newest chapter in cultural exchange between the two countries in the present era.

A special section of the exhibition uses an animated and easily understandable comic strip format, detailing the life and artistic achievements of Araniko.

This tribute commemorates Araniko's significant contributions to the enduring friendship between China and Nepal throughout his lifetime, serving as a cultural ambassador for both nations.
