The new exhibition at Beijing's Gravity Art Museum has placed a spotlight on artist Xue Ruozhe with a large display of the artist's creations from 2011 to 2023.

As the first solo exhibition in Beijing's art institute, the Gaze: Xue Ruozhe Early Career Survey exhibition, has seen over 80 pieces including paintings, prints and videos from the artist, which are on display in three sections, The Eyes Can't Meet, Concentration and The House of Inner View.

According to the exhibition's curator Yang Tiange, the artist's series YYYY-MM-DD features a number of still flower paintings clearly displaying the date and time of their creation.

The artist said that the idea was inspired by the birth of his youngest daughter and the series will continue until the end of the artist's life, with the hope of marking the passing time.

The exhibition is set to run until December 17.
